Working Principle

1.Quarter-Turn Operation: The valve is opened or closed by rotating the stem 90 degrees, which turns the ball.
2.Bore Alignment: When the ball's bore is parallel to the flow direction, fluid passes through with minimal resistance.
3.Positive Shut-Off: Rotating the ball perpendicular to the flow blocks the passage, creating a tight seal.
4.Seat Compression: The floating ball is pressed against the upstream or downstream seat by line pressure, enhancing sealing performance.
5.Stem Sealing: The stem is sealed by packing or O-rings that are compressed during operation, preventing external leakage.
